| This topic is free for people to ask questions about the game i'm making, all people in this clan will get to try the beta once i get far enough into this game, it'll take me some time since school is my top priority right now. Creation stage won't be released until i get far enough into it. Features Known to be in: Single Player Mode (very buggy) Online Multiplayer Mode (for now ) Local/IP/LAN Multiplayer Mode Mini-Games Multiplayer Mini-Games Possibilities: CTF Battle Mode Any suggestions, comments, post here Forums will be made for this a little later...

| Sounds neat, I'm interested.
Also, make sure you give Nintendo all the credit for all the things like the concept and textures (or better, contact them for permission) in order to avoid any definitely unwanted lawsuits over intellectual property. I'm sure a fan-created game as a homage of sorts would be fine, but selling it for cash is probably not the best thing to do if you don't press out any legal issues first.
Edit: Apparently, this is the site's 500th post. Woot!

| Umm can you explain more about the game, is there anything you can tell us about the story. can we play races other than hylian. and i agree with dark if you ever want to be able to do this you should make sure you get permission from nintendo because if you start selling this on steam or something there bound to sue you. also thanks for the free membership. | |

| Yes, you will be able to play as other races, i'm sure no one wants to just play as link, and Yes, I will be giving a whole ton of credit to Nintendo on this project, since i'm using sprites from A Link To the Past, but I will be doing extra sprites that I'm gonna take credit, but there won't be that many of those... Thank you for reminding me on legal issues... I almost forgot... Most of the story will be intertwined with Ocarina of Time, A Link to the Past, and Majora's Mask. I will find a way for this to all fit, I'm very good at improvising. You will have the ablility to color to a degree on what the character looks like, I'm not 100% sure on it, but it will be a possible feature... You can also buy a house on Multiplayer, a useful feature that you can enjoy and decorate it to a degree(like color of bed, style of flooring, etc.) In Single Player, you start with a house, but you can still decorate it. Farming, selling stuff, etc. is also availiable, so there's something other than fighting around Hyrule Does that answer your question? | |

Well, Cleod9, the creator of Super Smash Flash 2 got permission, he didn't have to pay, but then again, he's not selling the game... Anyways, my buddies and I are also gonna take a shot at heavily modding a Game Boy Advance, which will have this game uploaded to it, along with a few other games that I'm making in the near future

Yeah, I think the "not selling" part is important. Nintendo isn't going to let you get away with making money of a Legend of Zelda video game. I mean, A Very Potter Musical wasn't allowed to charge admission, despite being absolutely hilarious and quite original, because it was parodying Harry Potter. Even in that case, they were in a different medium - it wasn't like they were trying to sell a Harry Potter book, which is essentially what this is - you're selling a Legend of Zelda video game, when video games are the primary Legend of Zelda project. I don't think Nintendo will allow you to charge. Sorry, it does sound interesting, but don't make this in the hopes of making money, OK?

| Now that you brought it up.I'm just making it free all-around, but everyone in this clan will get the game first before anyone, along with my development team. | |

| This looks really fun! I'de gladly pay for it and test it through Beta all the way till final release, but as you said its going to be free =D. I have one question however, are we the only people that know about this or are you going to do advertisement deals with other websites? You'll need MANY people to properly test the multiplayer | |
